But like someone here said already, one bad apple can spoil the bunch again. Yes they got their act together.most of them. I know it may appear rude of me to compare M and PK but even if we put every other dinosaur game being planned or in history beside Mesozoica, I'd think we'd go with just about anything else. Saying that a logical mind is a "tumbler attitude" or something else. Also people have talked to them about the designs of their animals and asked for fixes only again, vague answers and insults. PK listens to their fans while mesozoica still gets into arguments with theirs. With me, you don't get my kind of support if you're still goofing off. But at this point in time, if I had to choose between it and Mesozoica or it and any other dinosaur game other than saurian, I'd choose PK. Spoiler Feathered: Spoiler Not yet revealed.ĭue to Jurassic genetics and their earlier history, Prehistoric kingdom wasn't really something I'd support. It'll take a few days, and I'll edit this post over time to add new creatures. I decided to work on a complete list of all of the creatures in the game. While one bad apple spoils the bunch, I think we should shift the blame to Fabiani as an individual and not the whole dev team (I may be incorrect about Fabiani, though.) It was wrong, but iirc Robert Fabiani was the one who leaked it, and it's not like he has good character. As for the vague responses and such, they've decided not to add terraforming due to the fact that they used most of their Kickstarter funds, and I don't think arguing with them will change their I forgot about the Dakotaraptor situation. I can still see the other viewpoint though, and of course I'd prefer to have terraforming. Instead of sculpting the landscape like you're God, you'll have to build the park over what you have. So as "matured" as they may be, they are still at it and already soiled their reputation.I think the removal of terraforming will make the game more fun to play in some ways. One person was making a very logical statement on why they should add it and they just kept at it being vague in their responses.
Recently they said they won't be adding terraforming which as we all know is important considering what fansite we are all on. The dark phoenix wrote:They already soiled their reputation. As I said, though, it seems like the team has matured past that. The deletion of comments is wrong, however, and so is the blocking of individuals. The game is supposed to be like JPOG (and as an extension Jurassic Park as well) due to the fact that it's a spiritual successor of it. The Dinosaur Revolution Tyrannosaurus is a fan-made skin, and there's nothing wrong with having a WWD-inspired Tyrannotitan. New Dakotaraptor and Entelodon models have been made that are more accurate and look a lot better. It's a game where you make a dinosaur theme park, so even if the inaccuracies bother you it makes sense that the dinosaurs would be engineered to match viewpoints like in Jurassic Park. The inaccuracies in the "accurate" versions don't matter much, to be honest. If The Isle can have inaccurate dinosaurs, Mesozoica can too. There is nothing wrong with their customization. In fact, at the time of that post the Spinosaurus didn't even have sounds yet.
ng-on-withFirst of all, as I said before, the devs all seem like they have matured (especially Max Wood.) The JPIII Spinosaurus was never stated to use JP roars. UT2 has made many other creatures for the game, including this lovely Yutyrannus.)īossAggron wrote:I can't be hyped for Mesozoica.Īll of the reasons can be found in this. (By the way, Fabiani isn't the only modeller. Even if you prefer Prehistoric Kingdom (which I do not,) it's hard to call this game a scam and it's even harder to dislike it once you look into the game's current state and how far it's gone. Unlike some other games, this game is well on it's way to being released. It has a HUGE species list, and they have the basic system down so terrestrial creatures can be added to the game quickly and efficiently once their animations are finished. I think it's time for us all to be hyped for this game as opposed to complaining about it. InGen wasn't able to create and destroy mountains & rivers at will, so why should we be able to? Lastly, the developers have matured greatly. Mesozoica will no longer feature terraforming, but in my opinion it is a positive change as we will have to build off of what we have when mountains and bodies of water are added.
The AI itself will be impressive, with complex behaviors and every dinosaur having it's own individual stats.
It seems that all that they need to do is finish the AI before they release the Kickstarter Alpha, which should be out in 1-3 weeks. Mesozoica is being worked on at an astonishing rate when you consider the scale of the game. I'm fairly certain that bumping is allowed in topics like this, so please correct me if it isn't.
